The weekend has (finally) arrived and I for one am thrilled. Thrilled that it is sunshiny today, thrilled my hair looks great, thrilled that I have yummy leftover Thai food for lunch...what's not to love?
Here are a few more things that have thrilled me this week:
Frank Sinatra coming up on shuffle to croon at me while I was in the shower.
Sending my mom my Christmas wish list. It snowed so ipso facto this is allowed.
Grabbing dinner with a couple girlfriends that turned into drinking wine and some much needed girl talk.
Getting an adorable picture text from my dad this morning of a homemade gift from me circa 2001 saying "I smile everyday getting ready for work!! love you pal!!" Consider my heart melted. He is such a softie sometimes!
Here are a few things I could have done without:
The fact that all of my pens seem to keep disappearing. I have a suspicion that there is a black hole in the corner of my desk because I am far too responsible to misplace so many pens. Black hole=most logical explanation.
The cautionary warning light referring to the brakes on my car came on this week. Why yes, I'd love a car repair bill this month, thank you universe, how did you know?
The fact that I completely missed the day after Halloween majorly discounted candy deals because I forgot about this epic event. Necco wafers are all that's left? I think I'll pass.
In other news, I am headed to Columbus this afternoon to celebrate my friend's 24th birthday so that should be fun. I will also be meeting up with my brother who will also be in town as well as a few other friends in the city. I am looking forward to a relaxing few days catching up, trying out a few new restaurants, tailgating and maybe even a little shopping thrown into the mix. Let the weekend begin!
