Pretty in Pink

Though I do love the movie Pretty in Pink, that was not the inspiration for this outfit. Honestly, I rarely wear pink so the fact that I scooped this up off the sale rack at Macy's is pretty out of the ordinary. My sister convinced me that it was more fuchsia than pink and so I've made my peace with this piece and have full on loved it ever since. I didn't want to be over-the-top girly with such a feminine color so I balanced it out with some black boots and more edgy tights. The fitted waist coupled with a small sleeve makes this a versatile dress that I can wear to the office but also out on the town.
