Manicure Monday

Today was a fun day at the office. Fast paced, lots to do, opportunities for networking, plus in n out burger and wine for dinner. What more could I ask for on any day, especially a Monday. And to cap it all off, I got to paint my nails while watching The Bachelorette (don't judge) and chatting with my roommate. It's practically an extended weekend ya'll! 

Weekends are for Sleeping

I snapped a picture of this gorgeous hotel while walking down Ocean Ave last week and looking at it again makes me excited for getting cozy in my bed this weekend for some much needed R&R. It has just been one of those weird weeks where I didn't seem to get very good sleep so it is time to rest up and re-energize amongst my pillows.  

A Tale of No Whales

One of the fun, outside the box activities I planned for my visiting brothers and sister was a whale watching tour. Head out on a boat on the ocean, see some sweet marine life, enjoy some sun shine but guess what? Literally none of those things happened. We could see land the whole time, we all got a little sea sick, there was no sun at all and well, the sweet marine life kind of happened because we saw sea lions and some dolphins which were cool but no whales and I was promised whales. I did take the opportunity to wear my knit hat so not a total loss. Plus I was with the fam and not behind my computer for the afternoon, so really, I should not be complaining but I wanted to be able to share my first whale sighting while my sibs were here but hey, there is always next visit!

My sister and brothers have left me and I was so sad to see them go. We had a blast while they were in town and we seemed to constantly be on the move, in the car heading to one place or another, then shuffling down this street and that street, soaking it all in, depending on whatever "it" was that day. It felt like a perpetual weekend, which makes sense since I was wearing what has come to be my weekend uniform all week: long skirt, a soft tank top or tee, and a light jacket for when the sun goes down. Plus a larger bag to hold on my clutch finds and that pesky jacket when the sun decided to stay out all afternoon. You just can't go wrong with a comfortable, breezy outfit that still looks polished.

Manicure Monday

Sorry I have been out of commission this past week. What with my siblings in visiting and all, the blog has been put on hold. We have been having a blast together and I barely even had time to paint my nails last night because of all the fun stuff we have been doing. More to come on our adventures later but in the mean time, apparently it's the cool thing to do to match your nails to your necklace on Monday mornings. Nothing like a little neon green to liven up the work week!

Can I just say that visitors are the best? It has been too much fun having my sister and brothers in town. The week has barely begun, as in, it is day two of their visit, and I am having a blast with them per usual. They are having a lot of fun exploring California and I can't wait to show them even more of my neck of the woods, I just have to get off work first then it's more sibling bonding time for us.
